The club met for the monthly meeting in October where we discussed some of the projects the group is working on for the season. Many of the trails have had a preliminary walk-through. There are numerous trees in the trails and some light brush cutting that needs to be completed. Trail work takes place on Sunday mornings throughout the fall for anyone wishing to assist in this area. You may contact the Trail Master or check the website for details on locations as they change weekly.
Once again we will have our annual Christmas in Strafford raffle at the Grange. This has proven to be a great community event and has given us the opportunity to meet with many local and area snowmobile enthusiasts. Even those that don’t ride enjoy the great raffle items we offer. Please plan to stop by and check out the fantastic items donated by area businesses that you may win and think of the great holiday gifts you wouldn’t have to shop for.
We are confident that this will be a great snowmobile season, so get those membership forms turned back in early for the raffle. The dues go towards helping to cover expenses for trail work and trail grooming and insurance costs. We are working to get a local contact for registrations as well and will keep you posted on any new developments.
There are many other great events in the works so check the website frequently to get the most current information.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 7:00PM at Nippo Lake Golf Club. Hope to see you there. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
