The Swamp Stompers held their first meeting of the season on September 13th. We are excited to get started with the trail preparations for what we anticipate to be a great year. Some of the upcoming events we have planned will be another Landowner Appreciation Dinner, our early registration raffle, the “Christmas in Strafford” Fundraiser Raffle, our Winter Ride-In Bonfire/BBQ and group rides.
Help is always appreciated with the planning of any of our events. This is a great way to get involved with your community.
The Club Membership applications will be mailed out shortly if you haven’t already received it by the printing of this letter. Mike and Sue Harris are the new membership committee co-chairs and they are working diligently to boost our membership numbers. Remember $10 from every membership goes to the State to be used for programs statewide. The remainder stays with the local club to be used for trail work, equipment repairs and fuel, insurance, etc. We depend on these memberships to keep our trail system in top condition for riding and thank you for supporting your local club. And, if you get your application in early, you will once again be eligible for the raffle. Why wait for it to arrive in the mail? Download a form from our website and mail it in today!
If anyone is interested in helping with trail work, including Coe-Brown Students looking for community service hours, please contact our Trail Master, Kerry Omand at 664-2558. Our next monthly meeting will be on Thursday, October 11th at 7:00PM at Nippo Lake Golf Club. We will also hold our first Social get-together in October on the 25th at Nippo at 7:00PM
