HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!
We hope that this year brings you health and prosperity, as well as, lots of snow!!
The past year was a good one for the Swamp Stompers. The club was active in its membership, we were able to complete all of our trail work in a timely manner, and the gates were installed with the assistance of the Conservation Committee on Evans Mountain and the Isinglass Tract. We also participated in Christmas in Strafford where we held raffles for items donated by local businesses. We raised over $400 for the club that day.
A big THANK YOU goes out to all the businesses for their generous donations.
Another thank you to all those that helped that day, Gary Fowler, Mike Harris, Peg Clifford, Shawn and Caryn Barry, their daughter Marissa, and Chris Maloy. We also want to thank all the people that purchased raffle tickets in support of our club and CONGRATULATIONS to all the prize winners. Just a reminder that there are Swamp Stomper knit hats, decals and t-shirts still available. These new hats were just printed this year and are black knit with white lettering, also a nice One Size Fits Most, they are an affordable $12.00.
Sheila’s Deli will now be doing registrations when you need to register your OHRV machines. You may register anytime during their regular business hours EXCEPT during the lunch and dinner hours of 11am -1pm and 5pm – 7pm daily. Please be courteous of these times so that we don’t lose our privileges with our local contact.
The Annual Club Bonfire is set for Saturday, February 12th, 2011, weather permitting. We are working on having sled demos for club members and possibly a club trail ride early in the day. This is always a great event for all that attend, so mark your calendars.
The January meeting will be on Thursday, January 13th at Nippo Lake Golf Club at 7:00 pm. The Social will be on the 27th. Depending on weather, this may be a good night for a club ride, check the website for further info as we get closer to this date.
