Newsletter March 16, 2011

There is only one thing to say about this riding season. Short and sweet. The trails were in great shape this season thanks to the few volunteer groomers. We want to extend a great big THANK YOU to those individuals for donating their time.
At the March meeting, we presented two club members, Shawn Barry and Brandon Bibeau, with their Certificate of Training Groomer Operator Safety Awareness Program Certificates. Any club member is encouraged to take the program to become a trail groomer. We also discussed trail work that we would need to think about for the next riding season. Any Grant-in-Aid projects need to be applied for during the summer months so if anyone knows of any major issues we would love to hear from you. We do have some equipment repair to work on over the summer also. As our equipment ages, the need for repairs increases. This past season we encountered several problems that will need to be addressed this summer. Namely lights and lifts will need attention.
Our April meeting will be election time. It will also be the last meeting of the year until the season begins again in September. Several officer positions are open and if you are interested in community government, you are encouraged to attend and submit a nomination. This is also our time to plan for the summer projects and other To-Do list items. We encourage anyone and everyone to attend this important meeting on April 14th at 7:00PM at Nippo Lake Golf Club. Hope to see you there.
As always, check out the website for all club related info.
