It seems that this November has been warmer than most of the summer weather we had.  Let’s hope that this is the calm before the “snow” storm.  At the time of this writing, we are still in the middle of November.  We hope that your Thanksgiving will be  a happy and plentiful one.  And then, December will be upon us, with the holidays to prepare for and hopefully some snow soon.

Don’t delay getting your membership forms returned.  The membership form is also available online for you to print off and mail in if you have not received one or would like to join the club as a new member.  You will want to have those sleds registered when the snow gets here.  Don’t forget to pick up one of the new maps at the same time.

For some information about upcoming Safety Courses held by the NH Fish & Game you can check their website at www.nhsa.com.  Some listed classes are in Greenfield, Londonderry, Milton and Rye on Dec. 5th, Northwood at Lake Shore Farm on Dec. 12, also Tamworth, Kingston and Campton on the same date.

The trail work has progressed beautifully.  New bridges are completed along the power lines near Canaan Road, the trail behind AMI, and off of Old Ridge Rd. for a trail re-route.  Signage is being posted and pruning and trimming is continuing to take place.

As always we are holding meetings every second Thursday of the month at the Nippo Lake Golf Club, in Barrington, NH.  Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, December 10th at 7:00PM.  And Ladies, this isn’t just a man’s sport, we know there are those of you out there that enjoy the sport just as much as the guys.  Your input can make a difference too, so why not join us, if only to get out of the house for a few hours.  Please come and join us for information about our local club and to offer any ideas that you may have to share.  We are always looking for new members and volunteers to help with various projects so please join us for meetings or contact a member through the website.

We will also be getting together for a holiday social on Thursday, December 17th at the home of members Pat and Chris Maloy where we will be holding a traditional Yankee swap.  If you are a member and would like to attend please RSVP to 664-6077 or e-mail : pcmaloy@metrocast.net, by December 11th.
