At our March meeting, we were joined by Justin Ferland of the NH Department of Fish and Game. Officer Ferland offered great advice about the trails and answered the many questions presented to him by the members. A great big THANK YOU to Officer Ferland for his time. The Swamp Stompers held their last official club meeting of the season on April 9 at the Nippo Lake Golf Club, Chip n’ Run Pub. MORE… The final word was that, yes, we had a GREAT season and many club members and adjoining clubs were out riding our trails and enjoying the views from the top of Evans Mountain. Many, many thanks to all who contributed to the great trails!!
Your club dues go not only to maintaining the trails but to many worthwhile organizations that are considered for donations. This year the club made a $200 donation to the Easter Seals Foundation. We also provide services to the Strafford community by offering needed services to other town groups. It’s not just snowmobiling folks! If you would like to get involved, our new season begins in September. The August Community Calendar will have the exact date, time, and place. Our new officers for the 2009-2010 season were elected as follows: President Shawn Barry; Vice President Mike Harris; Secretary Gary Fowler; Treasurer Drew Carter; Trail Administrator Don Clifford; Trail Master Kerry Omand; and New Board Members John Houle and Chris Maloy. Thanks to all of the Strafford Swamp Stompers members; we will see you in the Fall. Have a safe and fun filled summer!
